When 14-year-old Bella Weems approached her mom, Chrissy, wanting a Jeep when she turned 16, her mom encouraged her to start a business and earn it.

That is the inspiration behind our Owlette Program. Our Owlette Program teaches young girls and boys, youth ages 11-17, entrepreneurial and life skills. Being an Owlette builds confidence, gets them out of their comfort zone while setting goals and getting recognized for their efforts. Our Owlettes are making a difference in the lives of others and their own.

And, this month’s Owlette Spotlight on Success is on Owlette team Ria Smith and Bella Mastenbrook!

Meet: March’s Owlette Spotlight on Success

We had 162 new Owlette teams join in March! Hoot Hoot! We LOVE our Owlette Program and are so happy to see new teams join this incredible program.

And, in March, one of the 162 new Owlette teams, Ria Smith and Bella Mastenbrook, triple promoted to Team Leader!

They joined on March 15, during our special Owlette team offer promotional period, and hit the ground running immediately.

“It’s been a whirlwind since we joined. Our leader and Mentor, Team Manager Kate Weiss, has been instrumental in guiding and educating our entire family. We truly appreciate working with her!”

Ria and Bella started their O2 journey because they were looking for a young entrepreneurship program.

“As a mom, that truly impressed me. For Bella, it was the opportunity to have her own business, work and earn her own spending money and set financial goals, and for the two of us to spend family time together building something valuable.”

Ria and Bella’s goal after joining was to reach people with a product that had personal meaning and was enjoyable. They loved the idea of giving other families the opportunity to spend time together and teach valuable life skills like entrepreneurship.

“When we realized that Team Leader was possible, we set that goal and were determined to reach it! Our future goal is clearer now that we understand the business better, but we know that our enthusiasm and belief in Origami Owl will give us the opportunity to keep bringing people to the business opportunity, as well as the product.”

They encourage other Owlette teams to believe in what they have to offer others and the value of the product they’re selling.

“Listen to your child’s ideas so you can collaborate and truly make it a team effort.”

Ria and Bella are thankful that Origami Owl took their beginnings and turned it into an opportunity for youth to be able to build a business with their family and Mentor.

“We are very much looking forward to this journey, all the jewelry and the opportunity to share it with others! We love the training and support we’ve received, the enthusiasm from everyone we encounter on our team and The Nest, that both of my daughters get to ask Bella questions on conference calls and of course, the jewelry. There are so many new launches that it’s fresh. The tech support and design make it almost effortless for us.”

And, their favorite jewelry so far? While Ria and Bella both love the Rose Gold Collection within the Mother’s Day Collection, Ria’s favorite piece of jewelry is a ring her two daughters created just for her. And, Bella loves her Silver Bar Living Locket that her Mentor, Kate, made for her.

Reminder: Owlettes Graduating the Owlette Program

Our annual The O2 Experience convention is only four months away, and that means it’s time for our Owlettes to “officially” graduate from the Owlette Program!

If your Owlette is turning 18 any time in 2018, or, your Owlette graduated from the program any time in the last five years, but hasn’t had the opportunity to make it, we would like to recognize them!  Please follow these steps so we can make sure to recognize your Owlette this year.

We honor each Owlette individually by letting them shine bright as they walk across the big stage to get their certificate. It really is their time to shine for all their accomplishments!

The deadline to submit your Owlette’s information is May 18 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
