What was your focus for sales in March? Was there a particular jewelry item, Jewelry Bars or something else…?
“My focus is always in-home Jewelry Bars®. I try to schedule as many as I can leaving at least a full weekend or a couple days off for family time. March is always a very busy month because of (my daughter) Bella’s birthday, so I make sure I block out her birthday weekend and heavily book the other weekends. Personally, I had two local spring events, two fundraisers and four in-home Jewelry Bars. In addition to that, I always try to work with my customers to promote our new collections and share beyond just posting on social media. For example, I share daily, but follow up with each person that engages to build a stronger connection.”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on your monthly sales?
“Planning in advance and front-loading my calendar.”

How would you encourage others to grow their sales?“Follow up with all your past customers to do a customer care call. Check in to see how they are enjoying their jewelry before the end of their warranty, just in case they need help with anything. Then, ask them if you can send them our newest digital catalogs to get their feedback on some of our newest innovations. I always like to share, not sell. If people see something they want, they will tell you even if they can’t afford it, and that will give you the opportunity to help them either earn it by having a Jewelry Bar or buy it at wholesale by becoming a Designer.”

Do you focus more on Facebook Jewelry Bars or in-person Jewelry Bars? Why?“In-person Jewelry Bars – 100%! I love the personal connections they provide. I enjoy the one-on-one time with each new guest, and I find it to be priceless. I attribute my success to in-homes and feel that if I didn’t have any, my sales would be drastically lower.”

What’s your favorite piece of Origami Owl jewelry? “My newest favorite is the Birthstone Bar Necklace and Imperial Studs.”

With offers, new jewelry lines and holidays like Mother’s Day and Easter all happening at once, how do you effectively share the jewelry to get someone excited and find what they want in order to make the sale?“I find that we have a lot of options out now, so I share everything as it comes out and then I showcase different things daily. I find following up on comments from my previous Facebook Live reveals and postings of the entire collection when it first comes out helps because not everyone buys right away. Taking the time to message someone that comments about what they love and building a genuine connection and relationship with them goes a long way. Sometimes it’s just a conversation to get to know them more, but most often, it leads to more. Usually when someone doesn’t purchase right away, it has something to do with money. I like to explain all their options and help them so they can make the best decision: purchase, host a Facebook or in-home Jewelry Bar or become a Designer!”

Anything else you’d like to add? “Yes! Success and how to run your business can look different for everyone. In-home Jewelry Bars with a couple events and fundraisers here and there is what I personally like to do. I encourage you to learn it all and try it all. Only YOU can know what works best for you and where you feel most comfortable. Just always follow your passion and enjoy your journey! Also, feel free to reach out to me any time – I absolutely love helping people and would be honored to share with you!”

How did you step up your sponsoring efforts in March?

“I had quite a few events last month and really focused on sponsoring AT the events. When my guests saw the value of starting their own businesses, they jumped on board! Plus, the Rose Gold Signature Living Locket® Watch incentive was a pretty amazing carrot to dangle.”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on growing your team?

“Consistently sharing the opportunity and following up for sure! ‘Right now,’ isn’t always the right time to get started – but following up and making sure they know that you’ll be ready when THEY are is a pretty big deal. When the timing it right for them, they will jump on board – but if you’re not sharing and now following up, you’ll miss the opportunity!”

How would you encourage others to grow their team?

“You have to ASK! It doesn’t have to be salesy, it doesn’t have to feel icky, and you should NEVER pressure anyone. But look for opportunities to ask. It’s as simple as saying, ‘Have you ever thought about starting you own Origami Owl business?’ or ‘You would really be great at my job! I’d love to share more with you if you’re interested?’ The more you ask, the more confident you’ll become in sharing and the more likely you are to get that ‘YES!’”

What is your favorite part about your Origami Owl business?

“Having just returned from Punta Cana, I’d have to say that I LOVE our incentive trips! I don’t have the stress of planning and picking locations and accommodations – our generous company tells us where we are going, when, and how to earn it. Easy peasy! Plus, I work my business full-time, so I never have to ask anyone’s ‘permission’ to take time off! I absolutely LOVE being in control of my own schedule.”

What’s your favorite piece of Origami Owl jewelry?

“I am OBSESSED with out new Birthstone Bar Locket! It’s a perfect piece for laying, or for a casual t-shirt look. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, keep this piece past Mother’s Day! It’s so unique and has started MANY conversations with complete strangers! It’s my go-to right now.”
