LeahRose Gibson, Senior Team Manager

How did you step up your efforts to help others grow in June?

“I knew I really wanted to have my team promote, especially after several months of feeling stagnant, so I diligently worked to develop a plan with my uplines, as well as my downlines. We all reached out to friends, Hostesses and fellow O2 fans. Two of our newest team members were fairly new to the Origami Owl brand, so I helped to organize, expand and execute their online launch Jewelry Bars® during June.”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on your team’s development?

“Consistency is a MUST. Consistent posting, sharing, follow up and fear. I try to encourage my team to do something that scares them – whether that is doing a Facebook Live, asking someone to host a Jewelry Bar, or just passing out a Take Out Menu or business card.”

How would you encourage others to help their team members grow in their development?

“Don’t give up! Remember that the very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Refuse to settle. Branch out and be creative! It has taken me a while {and I still am learning and working!} to realize and put into practice that the most important thing I can do for my business and my team is to expand my network. Have a Jewelry Bar that generated zero sales? Not a problem! Reach out to see if there is a contact there for a future Designer, or even additional Jewelry Bars. Rebook with the Hostess for a later date, a new collection launch, etc. Don’t.  Give. Up!”

What is your favorite part about your Origami Owl business?

“I am most grateful for the opportunity to expand my ministry. I love blessing others. Whether that be praying for someone who has shared their painful story with me or rejoicing with someone who has a blessing in their Locket! This business has allowed me to minister to those of whom I may never have even met otherwise!”

What’s your favorite piece of jewelry from the Limited Edition Summer 2019 Collection?

“I really love the Lightning Bug Charm {yes, I know it’s listed as ‘Silver Firefly Jar Charm,’ but I’m from the South, and we say, ‘Lightning Bug!’}. This little Charm immediately brought back a flood of childhood memories of running barefoot after dark with my brothers, sisters, cousins and friends, each of us armed with an empty jelly jar to fill with these magical creatures.”

What’s the most meaningful story you’ve ever told, or a Customer of yours has told, in a Living Locket?

“One of my childhood friends had a daughter who was diagnosed with cancer. I did a fundraiser for their family, as this was obviously a difficult time. Unfortunately, sweet Katie lost her fight and her mama was left with a huge hole in their family. I created a Locket for this precious mama that included an Inscriptions® Plate with ‘Courageous Katie’ on one side and another Plate that said, ‘No one fights alone’ on the back.”

Anything else you’d like to add?

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from others– both uplines and down! It is truly a blessing to be a Force For Good® doing something that I love!”

Sarah Rinker, Team Leader

How did you step up your sponsoring efforts in June?

“Both Leah (LeahRose Gibson feature above!} and I had been talking with two of the New Designers for the last month or so. I was a vendor at a ladies event and my three recruits were all there. When they realized they could get the pieces of jewelry they fell in love with for 50% off, not to mention all the other benefits of O2, they were sold!”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on growing your team?

“I think consistency in presenting the join opportunity, while sharing the things I love about being an O2 Designer – the jewelry discounts, the exclusive items, the flexibility of hours, the support of a team, etc.”

How would you encourage others to grow their team?

“Pick out a few people you think have potential, and then be genuine with them as you present what you love about being a Designer. I know it took several months for me to join when Leah first approached me. She did not pressure me; she was consistent in assuring me that Origami Owl would be a good fit for me.”

What’s your favorite piece of jewelry from the Summer 2019 Collection?

“My favorite piece from the Summer 2019 Collection would have to be the Empowerment Stacking Rings. I love how light they are on my fingers. I love all of the messages on them, but as I prepare to send my oldest daughter to college this fall, the rose gold ‘Breathe’ Ring is especially meaningful.”

What’s the most meaningful story you’ve ever told, or a Customer of yours has told, in a Living Locket?

“A dear friend lost her husband to cancer this last summer. We made a Locket in his memory using the Silver Winged Heart Living Locket® Bolo Necklace. She was so happy with how it captured who he was.”

Anything else you’d like to add?

“I didn’t go looking for Origami Owl, but I love this jewelry, my team (both upline and downline), and the way that I and my Customers are able to both tell stories that connect with those who wear the jewelry and spark conversations with others about the jewelry.”
