O2 Journey

“I joined the O2 family back in September 2017. I have a full-time job within the Port of Los Angeles in the longshore industry as an Enforcement Watchman. A very tough job at times, with many different walks of life. My daughter, Brianna Rider (Executive Team Leader), inspired me to become a part of the Origami Owl family. She realized how strenuous my job has been much of the 20 years I’ve been there. She wanted me to have a positive outlet in my life; while being able to do something I loved! This was most definitely becoming an Origami Owl Designer.”

How did you step up your sales efforts in January?

“I saw January as a new beginning. A fresh start! Aside from wanting to share this view with others, Origami Owl made this possible for me to share so many great pieces of jewelry with others. Some pieces are beyond inspirational. The Empowerment Collection pieces have breathed new beginnings into my own life. I chose to share these ideals with anyone who is upon hard times and seeking better days and a positive personal growth spurt. This is where so many items assisted in better business growth and earning potential. Not to mention, trying to earn the amazing trip for two to Punta Cana!

What is your favorite part about your Origami Owl business?

“As for sharing in your life experiences with others, you just may find that a special someone is experiencing like situations in their lives. It’s all a beautiful part of sharing with others. To be uplifted by others – wonderful. To uplift others – priceless! Life is about helping others. I view my many blessings in life in retrospect from others having done the same for me when I’ve needed compassion and understanding. We all have so much to offer others. From a smile, making eye contact, listening, and speaking with others. Out of all things in life, be kind! I love to build upon experiences in my life through our jewelry. What may be a simple gesture to some, can mean the world to another.”

What’s your favorite piece of Origami Owl jewelry?

“There are too many to choose just one! I’d have to say that the inspirational Empowerment Collection pieces and Signature Living Locket® Watches are my go-to pieces. There is always a new reason to smile as each new collection is created!”

How did you step up your sponsoring efforts in January?

“I actually just joined Origami Owl mid-December. January was the first month I had to hit the ground running. I used social media to step up my recruiting power. I am so happy to have built the hardworking team underneath me.”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on growing your team?

“I would say the relationships I have worked to create and build amongst my peers. I have been so blessed that many of these relationships that started as strangers online have blossomed into friendships I will treasure forever. I knew I had to let my new friends know about the amazing opportunity Origami Owl offers each of us.”

How would you encourage others to grow their team?

“I encourage others to reach outside their comfort zone. Take time to get to know new people and build relationships with those people, whether it be different Facebook groups or other online support groups. Join groups that have similar interests as you. For me right now, it’s different mommy groups. Not only will you build relationships, but you will also have new people in your life who could benefit from such an amazing company. Whether it be as a Customer or as a Designer.”

I love being able to help Customers tell their stories through our jewelry. I love that I can actually see myself being able to fully support my family through the amazing Career Plan. But, most of all, I love the family I feel I have gained by being part of the team.”

What’s your favorite piece of Origami Owl jewelry?

“Since I’m still new, I’m slowly getting new pieces. But, if I had to pick just one, it would be the Rose Gold Signature Living Locket® Watch! It’s simply stunning.”

What’s the most meaningful story you’ve ever told, or a Customer of yours has told, in a Living Locket?

“I have a Customer who wants to order the Customer Exclusive Over the Rainbow Gift Set so she can use it with the baby feet to represent her rainbow baby. To me, this is just so special, and I’m so happy I can help her with telling her story.”
