How did you step up your sales efforts in December?

“The company, like always, helped by releasing a fantastic ‘12 Days of Gifting’ promotion. I also used the Charm Case Customer Exclusive, along with the free shipping offer, and really helped educate my Customers on pieces that would no longer be available in 2019.”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on your monthly sales?

“I have been with Origami Owl for almost five years, and the jewelry just keeps getting better and better. I showcase the jewelry in different ways. I give my Customers ideas on how to combine their personal collection pieces with the new jewelry pieces. I really believe in ‘value for your money’ and that is one of the biggest reasons I love Origami Owl jewelry. I create videos for my private Jewelry Bars® and VIP Group that show my excitement over these pieces. They fall in love with them right along with me.”

How would you encourage others to grow their sales?

“This jewelry is personal. I believe that everyone is looking for that meaningful piece. You never know who is watching your posts, who is looking at your videos or who is actually reading your messages. Just keep going, trying and reaching out. It only takes one look to touch someone’s heart.”

What is your favorite part about your Origami Owl business?

“This business has allowed me to be a work-from-home mom. When creating my monthly calendar, I take the nights off from work to enjoy my son’s sports and my daughter’s activities. I can work from my phone, if needed, and make money while I am watching television. It’s the best business ever!”

What’s your favorite piece of Origami Owl jewelry?

“I don’t have to think twice about this question: the Wrap Bracelets! I call myself a ‘wrap girl.’ I love the changeable pieces and showcase them a lot at my Jewelry Bars and to my VIP group. When new Wraps come out, my Customer base goes crazy for them! I think the more you love something, the more you show it off, the more others see it and fall in love.”

What’s the most meaningful story you’ve ever told, or a Customer of yours has told, in a Living Locket?

“I have helped thousands of people create Living Lockets® and choosing just one to share would be hard. I really enjoy when I get messages from someone who is gifting a Living Locket. The reactions from people who still don’t know Origami Owl jewelry exists is unbelievable! I love hearing ‘I always wanted one of these!’”

Anything else you’d like to add?

“I am purposeful when I work. I set a list of things that I want to accomplish that week and stick to them. A business doesn’t run itself. What you do today will help you tomorrow. I want my Origami Owl jewelry business to be long term. I don’t do things to make a quick sale; I try to create a Customer base who will continue to come back later.”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on your team’s development?

“When someone joins my team, I talk to them about a launch party right away. I want to give them a great start. For those who are interested in working the business, I tell them about the benefits of building a team. It’s so much more fun working the business with your friends and family! I love having a team! There’s something special about working together to reach our goals. It takes hard work, persistence and focus. I know they can do it because I am. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of Senior Director, Vicki Matzen. Her confidence in me was powerful! Now I have some confidence in myself. Anything is possible!”

What’s your favorite piece of Origami Owl jewelry?

“My favorite piece of jewelry keeps changing because new, amazing jewelry keeps getting released! Right now, I’m in love with our new Crystal Pink Ombré Swarovski Double Wrap Bracelet! It’s amazing! And, the Silver ‘I am Loved’ CZ Script Bolo Bracelet is very special.”

Anything else you’d like to add?

“I love being a part of Origami Owl! It has changed my life in so many amazing ways! It makes me happy, so happy, that I have to tell everyone (who will listen) about it! I feel so blessed and thankful to be part of this amazing Origami Owl family!”

How did you step up your sponsoring efforts in December?

“In December, I stepped up my sponsoring efforts by sharing the opportunity at holiday boutiques and Jewelry Bars®. I followed up and revisited the opportunity with several people who had fallen in love with 02 in November and who had made a purchase (or two or three!). Having some of the holiday pieces on hand, and showing the versatility of our collections, really helped them envision their own business.”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on growing your team?

“My team added 15 Designers in November and six in December. This is significantly more than our average number of New Designers per month. Although it was hard for me to do so, I stopped worrying about turning Designers off or away because I was talking about sponsoring. I was fostering a sponsoring culture, recognizing Mentors who sponsored each week and worked on instilling those values in our newer Designers to also sponsor. I set monthly sponsoring goals and try to lead by example. I also offer three-way calls or three-way Facebook messages to help Designers have a successful sponsoring conversation, along with helping them to overcome obstacles and objections. Sometimes a ‘no’ is just a request for more information or clarification.”

How would you encourage others to grow their team?

“I would encourage Mentors not to worry about what your current personally sponsored Designers are doing. You cannot want success for them more than they want it for themselves. If they have been through their Ready, Set, SOAR! period and are not working the business, they may be satisfied with the pace of their journey. Instead, focus on where you want to be and put it in writing. Do you want to be at the Paid-As title of Team Leader again but two of your Designers are not working their business? Then sponsoring is your solution. As a matter of fact, almost, without exception, sponsoring is ALWAYS the solution. If you are looking at your goal (or tracker) every day, you will do something about it. Find an accountability or pacing partner who shares the same vision of where you are going and work together. Sponsor New Designers and share your vision with them right from Day One. Get three to five Designers who want to grow on board with your vision and make a strategic plan together. Work with them. Set a goal. Wait for them to hit it and then set another goal. Ask them if they want to become a Team Leader and share the benefits of leadership. Help them with sponsoring conversations, role plays or three-way calls. Give them your time and talents, and build their confidence, then watch them take flight!”

What is your favorite part about your Origami Owl business?

“My favorite part of my Origami Owl business is sponsoring. I share the opportunity regularly, and if it’s not for them right now, I always offer them a ‘shopping link’ (Jewelry Bar® link), ask about fundraising opportunities and invite them to my VIP group. Starting a business takes courage. They may need to sit with the idea for a while before joining. Let them see you in action in your group, or at an event or Jewelry Bar.”

What’s your favorite piece of Origami Owl jewelry?

“Currently, my favorite piece of jewelry is the Always With You Pendant. When my mom passed away unexpected the week before the 2018 O2 Experience Convention, I had to create something for myself and my mother’s closest friend, my godmother, Kit. I asked the funeral director to cut her gorgeous silvery gray hair and make two of these Pendants. I wear it often, especially when I am missing my mom most. I find comfort that she is always with me.”

What’s the most meaningful story you’ve ever told, or a Customer of yours has told, in a Living Locket?

“I met a lady at a holiday boutique in December who was brought to my table by another vendor. She was telling me a story about her parents who had both passed away. She had been looking for a piece of jewelry to memorialize them for over five years. She noticed the (Convention Exclusive) Wing Locket I was wearing and asked me about it. I told her my story and she began to cry. She asked me if I had the February and May Birthstone Charms and if they fit in the Locket. She fell in love with how the light caught the stones and shined. She contacted me the next day to thank me and tell me how this Locket comforts her and how she will cherish it always.”

Anything else you’d like to add?

“Many Designers aren’t sure how to do a Facebook Jewelry Bar and don’t necessarily have the time to invest to create one each month. Since the beginning of 2018, I have been doing at least one group Jewelry Bar for my team and their guests each month. January’s group Jewelry Bar was a New Year’s Resolution Party. I create the content, and all they have to do is invite their guests in the group. This has increased our Team Volume by thousands, but it has also increased our sponsoring efforts. Many Designers are afraid to offer the opportunity, but when the opportunity is presented in a party, they are much more comfortable with it, which leads to conversations and new team members. You never know unless you ask!”
