They Earned a Trip for 1 (with travel voucher): Tips and Stories from Two Designers
Meet Michelle Senton – Senior Team Leader
Started O2 Journey: August 2020
From: Davisburg, Michigan
“I feel special being recognized for the work and creativity I put into this amazing company,” shares Michelle. “I’m honored that my team chose me to follow, and I’m blessed to be a part of a company that allows me to give back to the people and causes I love.”
So, how’d she do it?
“I focused on getting out of my comfort zone, wearing my jewelry, striking up conversations with strangers and asking friends and family to help me grow my business,” says Michelle. “I also focused on fundraising.”
Michelle used the charity organization she runs to raise funds and earn Personal Volume.
“My oldest son is a United States Marine,” shares Michelle. “I’m the Chairman of Hometown Hero Program in the Holly/Davisburg area in Michigan. We recognize and support all active duty military, and their families in our area.”
With the money Michelle raised, Hometown Hero Program was able to support three military send-offs and send Christmas care packages to each of their 44 active duty military members.
How can other Designers finish the qualification period strong and earn a spot of the trip?
Here are Michelle’s top tips:
-
“Be a Pineapple: Stand up tall, wear a beautiful crown and be sweet on the inside.Stand up tall: Believe in yourself and proudly tell people about who you are and why you love Origami Owl. Wear a beautiful crown: Always wear your jewelry everywhere you go. I have had some amazing conversations with complete strangers because they noticed my jewelry. Be sweet on the inside: Welcome everyone you meet into the wonderful world of Origami Owl – whether it’s as a Customer or potential team member.”
-
“Don’t give up: There’s always time. It’s never too late. Pick a couple of pieces that you love in each collection and introduce them to everyone you know. Make it fun by creating a lottery sheet, holding a BINGO game or creating a mini party in a bag. These are great ways to increase sales in between Jewelry Bars®. Work your business every day!”
Meet Noelia Rodriguez – Team Leader
Started O2 Journey: September 2020
From: Bronx, NY
Team Name: Team Storytellers
“I’m still in shock, and very excited, about earning the trip,” shares Noelia. “It was a great challenge sent my way, and I took it and ran with it. I never thought I’d achieve this goal so quickly.”
So, how’d she do it?
“I focused on achieving all the goals I set for myself,” says Noelia. “I decided if I was going to try and earn the trip, I would go ahead and believe in myself, as well as always stay accountable to my Mentor, Team Manager Sandy Daly. I was able to focus on the bigger picture, which was to have fun!”
How can other Designers finish the qualification period strong and earn a spot of the trip?
Here are Noelia’s top tips:
-
“Have fun doing what you love.”
-
“Go live on social media at least three times per week.”
-
“Believe in yourself. Never count yourself short. Trust yourself. Set goals and write them down.”
“Set a 40-day goal and put it all over your work space,” shares Noelia. “Commit to doing three (social media video lives) a week and play games to engage with your attendees. With proper dedication, you will be able to not only accomplish your goal, you’ll be able to crush it. Never limit yourself. Know your worth!”
