1…2…3…Consistency is Key: 16 Tips to Stay Consistent in June + July!

1…2…3…Consistency is Key: 16 Tips to Stay Consistent in June + July!

En Español

We’re in the second month of our 1…2…3…Consistency is KEY incentive!

When you generate 100 PV or more every month – May through July – you can earn O2 Jewelry Credit, an O2 Jewelry Box, a Fall Charm, a Charm Case, cash or all of it!

Plus, we have exciting news for your New Designers who join this month! They can also earn incredible, extra perks by being consistent in June and July!

So, to give you extra motivation and inspiration to keep working hard (you got this!), we asked some of our leaders to share what they did in May to achieve their goals, and their tips to staying consistent in June and July.

16 Tips For Staying Consistent in June and July

Theresa Theisen, Senior Team Leader – Generated 2,209 PV in May!

“My planning for May started in April, before knowing about this awesome incentive. I made sure to front-load my month knowing Mother’s Day is one of my busiest times of the year and had my ‘hot dates’ for Hostesses to pick from. My ‘hot dates’ are special days to Host a Jewelry Bar to receive a special, little, extra gift from myself. I had an event three of the four Saturdays in May. I also had a few Facebook Jewelry Bars already scheduled to help my sales. Launching a special Wizard of Oz group also helped generate sales for those three launches, which contributed to my overall PV. Once I saw how close I was to Successbuilder, I personally messaged past Customers and my VIPs. My VIPs are always amazing at helping me reach a goal. I came up a little short, but completely satisfied with where I ended my month. This incentive was just icing on my month.”

  1. Personal message your past Customers and Hostesses. I’ve reached out to past Customers and Hostesses, and even current Hostesses, about participating in a Host to Post for seven days. By doing these two things, I went from having two Jewelry Bars® on the calendar in June to nine Jewelry Bars!
  2. Be intentional about sharing the new Summer Collection. Whenever we have a seasonal collection launch, I host a Mystery Hostess Jewelry Bar for my VIPs; this helps book Jewelry Bars, which helps with sales. Also, above sharing the assets provided from The Nest (in the My O2 Connection app), I personally message, or text message/call those who don’t have Facebook; my team members, and hold Facebook Live trainings. We’re having a team Facebook event where everyone invites their friends and family, so we can showcase the Summer Collection.
  3. Customer service is key. I’m a huge believer in great customer service. And, because of that, I have many repeat Customers.
  4. Utilize Field Trainer Abby Teet’s Host to Post outline. Reach out to friends and family. Pick out your own ‘hot dates,’ and offer a little gift to your Hostess. The Mystery Packs in the Back Office are amazing Hostess gifts.”

Ashley Robinson, Senior Team Leader – Generated 1,708 PV in May!

“I made a goal, wrote down what I needed to do to get there, used the trackers, and made it known far and wide what my goals were and what I was willing to do to reach them. I also sweetened the pot for my awesome VIPs with a fun prize at the end of the month. Prepping my VIP group for The Wizard of Oz Collection was also key. We had a whole week of trivia before the actual reveal, which I feel not only prepared them to grab all the goodies, but also got them excited about this amazing collection.”

  1. “Support your team. Send out emails at the beginning of the month. Do weekly check-ins. Set up fun team challenges. Offer to do training calls to help those who wish to utilize the extra assistance.
  2. Expand and get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
  3. Always wear your jewelry.
  4. Have fun and stay consistent.
  5. Use the tools available to you from The Nest. I have my tracker printed and filled up. I am using the tools in the Back Office, as well as the Mindset Mondays, Socially Unstoppable and Take Off to Leadership Facebook groups to keep me on track.
  6. Engage with your VIPs. I find my VIPs love themed months with prizes that fit the theme as we hit different levels of the monthly goal. June is all about watermelon.

Christina Navarro, Senior Team Leader – Generated 1,501 PV in May!

“I took this incentive as the perfect opportunity to hold myself accountable and stay consistent. I was already setting myself up for growth, so this was perfect timing. I took more time to personally reach out to even more people. Personal connection is key.”

  1. “Touch your business every day. Origami Owl gives us all the tools we need. All we have to do is stay consistent. Touch your business every day and you will, no doubt, see results. If something isn’t working, it’s okay to try something new. Just make sure you’re doing something.
  2. Focus on basics, in addition to new launches. The Summer Collection was seriously off the charts, but for me, personally, I have realized that sticking with the basic steps in building a Living Locket® is where my passion lies, so I plan to focus on that. Especially since I am finally expanding into my ‘cold market.’ I am finally meeting new people who have never even heard of Origami Owl. It’s important to me that they know Bella’s story and the true meaning of capturing their story inside of our Lockets.”

Carolina McGrath, Executive Team Leader – Generated 2,646 PV in May!

“I touched my business every single day in May. Some days, it was only one call, and other days, it was more. Setting up Jewelry Bars was my first focus, then coaching those Hostesses about how we were partners, was second. Luckily for me, I also had some event orders that were needed. With The Wizard of Oz Collection, I ran a week of trivia on my social media channels that funneled the participants into my VIP community where they felt taken care of. It was easy for them to stay on top of The Wizard of Oz updates and place their orders with ease. With my team, I pointed out that being consistent would make the difference. I had three newer Designers who set goals with me. We chatted daily about what worked and what didn’t. Building that consistency right away in their businesses has proven to be valuable. It’s much easier when you start out being consistent; changes happen even faster. We also have talked about front-loading the month and putting your strongest efforts there the first two weeks. Make things happen, then when change is felt and goals are reached early, the remainder of the month is ‘icing on the cake!’”

  1. Front-load your month. It worked for everyone on our team who tried it. Keep what works and change what doesn’t. Change – not eliminate! Try something different. Don’t just stop doing what didn’t work.
  2. Talk to new people about the June incentive. When we are expanding our networks and talking to new people, we ask them if they want to earn a free cruise. When they ask how, we share our booking ideas. There are so many ways to offer a booking – Field Trainer Abby Teet’s Host a Post idea, online and in-home Jewelry Bars, Take Out Buckets – there are so many great ideas that surely one of them should work with a potential Hostess.
  3. Use the Limited Edition Collections the way they were intended. ‘Limited edition’ means ‘no reorders planned.’ It has proven to be beneficial in your business. It creates urgency in their desire and the orders are placed with a little bit of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) attached to them. If you love it and need it – get it now!
  4. Offer your VIPs a ‘group order’ option. I’ll place a large group order and then they’ll come pick it up from me when it arrives. This saves them the individual shipping fees and let’s us meet face-to-face when they pick up their order so we’re able to share some of the other pieces from the collection in person. Often, this leads to more orders!”

Additional Thoughts

Christina Navarro, Senior Team Leader

“Above all, I believe what motivated me most was knowing how much I’d be expanding my network if I were to hit this level. My business is mostly to non-profits; I donate 10 to 20 Lockets each month to people who will never know who I am, so it was important for me to start setting myself up with people I could follow up with once the new incentive trip is announced. I think finding what you’re passionate about, and using that in your business, is important. Also, I will forever cherish the Sparkle Pumpkin Charm I purchased for myself when I found out I was 55 cents away from 1,500 PV!”

Ashley Robinson, Senior Team Leader

“It’s taken a while to get here, and definitely requires some time, work and lots of love, but I’ve learned that success comes from being real and someone who others can connect with. It’s important to show others your passion, it fuels you and draws people to you simultaneously.”

Carolina McGrath, Executive Team Leader

“Thank you to The Nest for developing these challenges and providing us the opportunity to grow our businesses outside of our comfort zones. These incentives give us a fun way to push ourselves beyond what we normally do and get rewarded for it! I taught school for 30 years and was rarely recognized for my strengths, growth or accomplishments as an educator. The opportunities The Nest gives us are outstanding. Thank you!”

The Wizard of Oz Collection

“The month of May brought one of the most exciting collections to my Customers thus far – The Wizard of oz Collection! A lot of pieces sold out, but in true Origami Owl fashion, the company made sure our Customers get a second chance at the pieces they want. Not only did I go out of my way to reach out to all my Wizard of Oz potential Customers before, and during, the launch, I am also keeping those Customers updated weekly with the restocks. This is something that can also help in June and July.

  1. Make lists of the pieces Customers want and keep them informed. Most importantly, continue to showcase all the limited edition pieces. You never know when one image will help them decide to make another order.”

Summer 2019 Collection

“As we are working through our second ‘J’ month of the year, which are known to be slower for sales, think about this: we just launched a fabulous Summer Collection that is HOT! HOT! HOT!

  1. Not every person has to love every piece, but there are pieces that are so outside of our normal Living Lockets that you should be able to find at least one new Customer to add to your community.
  2. The social media images supplied in the My O2 Connection app, and Origami Owl’s Facebook and Instagram pages, really help my business. When sharing, remember to not just ‘slap’ your Personal Web Page on the post and call it good. Instead, add a little personality to the post like, ‘I like…,’ ‘I would love…,’ ‘This reminds me of..’ are just a few examples. People follow you on social media because everyone has a ‘nosey bone in their body,’ so make sure your viewers learn a little about you with each post.

June “Girls Just Want to Have Sun” Incentive

“The fantastic June Hostess incentive made me so excited that I rushed to my phone to start booking even more Jewelry Bars. I run my business 85 percent online, so I reached out to past Hostesses first to re-book a Jewelry Bar. Then, I reached out to Customers who had ordered any Swarovski® Crystal Wrap Bracelets from me in the past. I explained how their $100 order could be added to their own personal shopping link. Guess what? There’s still time to do this! My goal was to explain how easy hosting is and what’s the worst that can happen? They can earn $100 in free Hostess jewelry and be entered into a drawing to win a $1,000 Royal Caribbean Gift Card and $500 Visa® Travel Gift Card! I reached out to all my ‘vacationing’ friend. You know, the ones who post every time they leave their house. I asked, ‘How awesome would it be to allow Origami Owl to pay for some of your next vacation?’ Again, there is still half a month to rock your Jewelry Bars!

Mindset Mondays + Host a Post Event

“Finally, don’t forget to work hand-in-hand with Field Trainer Abby Teet. Follow her Monday Mindsets and join the Host a Post event. I am an inspirational speaker kind of girl and yet, I can listen to Abby talk ‘real talk’ for hours. I listen to her and get ideas from her ideas. This month, she came up with a new concept and I ran with it. In two years of being 85 percent online-only, I have never written posts for my Hostesses to share on their personal pages. I give them images and ideas, but some of my Hostess coaching success has come from Abby this month. I am now sharing ‘don’t think about it; just copy and paste’ postings to my Hostesses. No matter what stage of your business you’re in, there is always something new to learn.”

Alba Saenz, Executive Team Manager

How did you step up your efforts to help others grow in May?

“I reached out to each of my Designers to see where they were at currently and what their goals are for the future.”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on your team’s development?

“Team work. I can’t stress that enough. We are a growing team, and I love to see how they all interact with each other and cheer each other on – even if they are on different legs. Good vibes between them all makes each achievement they make something to celebrate.”

How would you encourage others to help their team members grow in their development?

“Listen to your team. Be accessible to them when they need help. Sit with your team and talk about what their next goal is. Give them a tracker for their next goal and help them brainstorm how they can achieve it. Create excitement with your team; our team reflects who we are as leaders.”

What is your favorite part about your Origami Owl business?

“That’s easy: the people I get to meet along the way. Origami Owl has allowed me to rejoin society. When I became a housewife, my one and only focus was my children. I never realized I had completely lost touch with the outside world.”

What’s your favorite piece of Origami Owl jewelry?

“I love Origami Owl’s Clara Stud Earrings. They are my bestsellers, and I carry an extra pair on me at all times. The fact that they can be worn for a night out, or a simple trip to the grocery store, makes it the perfect piece.”

What’s the most meaningful story you’ve ever told, or a Customer of yours has told, in a Living Locket?

“Every story is meaningful, but I recently had a Customer create her Cancer Survivor Locket. She added pieces that reminded her of her struggles, her faith, and what she hopes for the future she still has.”

Anything else you’d like to add?

“Never give up on your business and what you can accomplish. Sometimes it may feel you aren’t reaching your goals as fast as you’d hope, but everything worth having takes time. With patience, hard work, dedication, and most importantly, without giving up on yourself, you can reach your goals.”

#1 in Personal Sponsoring*

#2 in Personal Sponsoring

Aimee Johnson, Senior Director – 4 Personally Sponsored Designers – 2,515 PV

#3 in Personal Sponsoring

Alba Saenz, Executive Team Manager –  4 Personally Sponsored Designers – 1,192 PV

*Please note, these Personally Sponsored Designers were Active and earned at least 75 PV or more in May. Annies are not counted toward this number. An Annie is an Independent Designer who enrolls without a Sponsor or Mentor.

Breanna Johnson, Senior Director

How did you step up your sponsoring efforts in May?

“Sponsoring is all about being genuine and helping people decide if Origami Owl is the right journey for them. I don’t think I did anything differently in May than I normally do; I know that I absolutely fell in love with the Large Silver Rainbow Living Locket® Set (Designer Exclusive), so I posted it to Facebook the second I saw it and found that others loved it, too. I always started with a conversation to try and educate people about everything and work with them to see if Origami Owl is the right fit for them. Some join, but not all. I also always talked with my Hostesses about the opportunity prior to their Jewelry Bars, so that if they do want to join, we can turn their Jewelry Bar into their launch party so I can help them every step of the way!”

What do you believe has made the biggest impact on growing your team?

“Consistency in sponsoring, and then mentoring, all my new Designers to help them reach their goals.”

How would you encourage others to grow their team?

“Talk to everyone, but always be genuine. Share from your heart what you love and each person you meet will know you love what you do.”

What’s your favorite piece of jewelry from the Summer 2019 Collection?

“That’s a tough one! I love the Gold Mermaid and Unicorn Pool Float Charms for my daughter, Bella, who is an absolute fish during the summer; we are always at the pool. Personally, I L-O-V-E the Empowerment Collection Rings! I have worn them every day since the moment I got them.”

What’s the most meaningful story you’ve ever told, or a Customer of yours has told, in a Living Locket?

“This story warms my heart. Following my team’s Mother’s Day Force For Good®, one of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit moms contacted me because the promo code for her free Charms was unreadable after she scratched it off. As we talked more and more, I was filled with such gratitude. It was overwhelming…the kind that gives you chills. She told me that the Locket she received on Mother’s Day at the hospital was the kindest, most generous gift she had ever been given and provided her with such a feeling of connection. I really enjoyed helping her pick Charms to represent her two girls. When we got off the phone, I had a feeling that wouldn’t be the last time we spoke. She messaged me at the end of last week after her Charms arrived in the mail. She said, ‘Coincidently (or maybe not!), yesterday was also a very hard day with an emergency unfolding with my daughter. We had to re-admit her to the hospital and actually on our ride there, she fainted, so I had to call the ambulance. It was a terrifying day. But, my older daughter called me in the evening and told me that the Charms had arrived and when I finally got home, I put the necklace together and it was like a little hug from heaven. Just wanted to say thank you, again.’ Stories like this are why I love what I do!”

Pay It Forward: A Force For Good® Ripple Effect

Pay It Forward: A Force For Good® Ripple Effect

On April 26, Origami Owl® Co-Founder Chrissy Weems announced a special offer in honor of Pay It Forward Day!

Our mission is to be a Force For Good; to love, inspire and motivate people of all ages to reach their dreams and empower them to make a difference in the lives of others.

And, many of you paid it forward to a New Designer by sharing the code PAYITFORWARD. Read all the details on the Pay It Forward offer here.

Below are a couple of incredible Designers who not only Paid It Forward in April, but also helped their New Designers reach Storybuilder by the end of the month – in just four or five days!

Read their stories below.

Carrie Ross

On April 27, Senior Designer Karie Youngeberg paid it forward to Carrie Ross. In just four days, Carrie generated 271 PV – earned Storybuilder!

O2 Journey

Karie started on her O2 journey in February of this year after she was drawn to the mission of being a Force For Good.

“I have always wanted to be part of something bigger – and now I get to be,” shares Karie. “From day one, I decided I wanted my business to revolve around being a Force For Good.”

Little did she know, but one of her Jewelry Bar® Hostesses, Carrie, a sixth grade history teacher, would be drawn to Origami Owl for the same reason.

Together, Carrie and Karie raised $300 at her Jewelry Bar to donate to Youth Challenge. Youth Challenge is an organization that is close to Carrie’s heart. It helps kids with physical disabilities access sports and arts programs.

Carrie’s daughter

“My oldest daughter was born without legs and a right arm,” shares Carrie. “She is an incredible kid who has swam her way to two American records and has represented her country on Team USA twice.”

Senior Designer Karie adds, ”(Carrie’s daughter) is a talented swimmer, born leader and is absolutely amazing to me. After my Jewelry Bar, Carrie quickly became one of my VIPs and biggest supporters.”

The Pay It Forward Offer

After the Pay It Forward special offer was announced, Karie immediately thought of Carrie.

Although she was hesitant at first because she’s a single mother who teaches full time, Carrie decided to accept and view Origami owl as an opportunity to earn money with flexible hours doing something she loved to do.

“My ‘why’ became stronger than my excuses, and I expressed to Karie that I wanted to go on this adventure with her,” says Carrie.

On April 27, Carrie officially started her O2 journey.

Karie Youngeberg

“It means a lot to me that Karie thought of me and wanted me on her team,” says Carrie. “She represents the concept of being a Force For Good. I am sincerely touched by her spirit and generous nature. I am proud to call her my Mentor!”

After Carrie joined, Karie quickly realized she only had four days to help Carrie earn the Designer Exclusive Silver Triangle Bolo Locket Gift Set (100 PV) and the O2 Blue Pouch (250 PV).

“I knew I had to get busy because Carrie was NOT going to miss out on getting these exclusives,” shares Karie.

And, in just four days, Carrie generated 271 PV and earned Storybuilder!

2019 O2 Business Goals + Pay It Forward Ripple Effect

Looking to the future, Karie and Carrie are both optimistic.

“I cannot wait to see where this path takes both of us and our team,” shares Karie. “I honestly feel like this is just the beginning. Origami Owl makes me a better, stronger person every day. I’m so grateful and honored to be part of this company!”

Carrie has started making 2019 goals for herself.

“My current goal is to become a Senior Designer,” shares Carrie. “I would also love to be a Team Leader by the end of the year and generate 1,000 PV. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on vacation, so I’d love to earn an incentive trip, too! I am super excited to be able to attend The O2 Experience this year. The sky is the limit for me!”

In only a few short weeks, not only has Carrie made goals for her O2 business, she also paid it forward to another Designer.

“I paid it forward and offered the opportunity to another single mom,” exclaims Carrie. “My friend, Nicki, has two beautiful girls and works hard every day to provide a great life for them. I am so excited to see where Nicki takes this great opportunity. I look at this opportunity as a gift. I am grateful to Karie and Origami Owl for this chance to be a part of this amazing company.”

On April 26, Executive Designer Desiree Ramirez paid it forward to Sarah Medina. In just five days, Sarah generated 305 PV – earned Storybuilder!

Sarah Medina

The Pay It Forward Offer

When Desiree first heard about the Pay It Forward special offer, she immediately thought of Sarah.

“Sarah had shown interest from the moment I joined and even helped me set up my business Facebook page,” shares Desiree. “Sarah had been waiting until she had extra money to join our team.”

Desiree knew that Sarah would make a great Designer, but Sarah had her own reservations.

“I was hesitant about joining at first, partly because I didn’t have the money and wasn’t really sure if I knew enough people who would purchase from me,” shares Sarah.

But when the Desiree told her about the Pay It Forward offer, “It took me all of two minutes to sign up during my lunch break!” says Sarah. “Her excitement had me so excited that I even created my Facebook business page right away, too!”

Soon after joining, they both realized they only had a few days to qualify for April incentives.

“I couldn’t believe by the end of Sarah’s first day, she had already generated over 200 PV,” says Desiree. “Then to top it off, she ended the month with over 300 PV. She is definitely a girl boss! I am so proud of Sarah and knew I chose the perfect person to Pay It Forward to.”

In just five days, Sarah generated 305 PV and earned Storybuilder. Now, she wants to continue to learn all about the business.

2019 O2 Business Goals

“My goal for this year is to soak up every bit of knowledge I can to grow my small business,” shares Sarah. “I want to get as many people as possible as excited about the jewelry as I am!”

She adds, “I’m so excited about every little part of this journey, and am beyond grateful to Desiree for thinking of me and bringing me aboard.”
