How I Hit 100 PV or More

Jennifer Deluca, Designer

“When I joined Origami Owl in September, I promised myself I would put into building my business as much as I wanted to get out of it. So, I SET A GOAL. I broke down exactly what I would need in order to achieve that goal, along with my Mentor, Heidi McNall’s, Executive Director, help; then I DOUBLED that goal, because who wouldn’t want to do even better, especially with all of the amazing bonuses there are? There are so many incredible resources that have helped me earn 1192 PV in my first month. Social media played a huge part from following the Ready, Set, Soar! 7 Day Plan, to reaching out, to making contact individually with my closest friends and family members. People in your life who are important to you want to see you succeed, and so starting with them was a huge stepping stone to booking future Jewelry Bars® and growing my network of Customers. I was surprised at the overall response I received at my launch party, as well as the social media feedback.”

Leigh Rider, Designer

“I had five Jewelry Bars in September. I live in the Huntington Beach area, and I’ve realized that a lot of women here don’t like to wait. They are hands-on shoppers who don’t like to give out personal information. My approach has been to do everything myself. I ensure that my Hostesses don’t have to go through any issues when they’re Hosting a Jewelry Bar. If I have all the jewelry on hand, it’s much easier to get sales. I want Customers to be able to build their looks at the Jewelry Bar if they can. They enjoy putting their looks together in person. My goal is to be able to make it a fun for everyone, including the Hostess, and not to have it be where the Customers are just expected to come and buy something. I base my business on being Hostess friendly. I love that Origami Owl is so supportive of their Designers. I have a full-time job but I can honestly say this is a side job that I love and is fun to do.”

“Once I made the commitment to join Origami Owl, I reached out to my Mentor, Diane Anderson, Team Manager, for helpful tips and then began following the seven-day plan. I started my own VIP Facebook page and added all my friends; then I opened my very own Jewelry Bar. I reached out to my family and friends who were more than willing to support me in my journey. I ran specials for the first person to place an order (free stardust) and the first person to purchase a new Locket set that was sports-related (free Bat or Glove Charm). I’ve had many parties over the years, but this was different. This is my business now, and with a little work, I can be successful! In my second month, I am already on my way to becoming a Dreambuilder; I’m just 153 PV away! I’m planning on using the extra money I make to help pay for my son’s love of playing hockey and baseball.”

Tips for Other New Designers

Leigh Rider, Designer

Be super user-friendly for your Hostesses, so they don’t think it’s a chore to Host a Jewelry Bar. The more user-friendly you are for your Hostesses, the more Hostesses you’ll have. I get everything set up for my Hostesses, so it’s no longer a chore for them to host a Jewelry Bar. I plan on doing a monthly drawing for all my Customers. I’ll choose a piece to give away to a randomly selected Customer and announce the winners on Facebook. This is a wonderful way to engage with your Customers.”

“Reach out to friends and family members who love Origami Owl jewelry already, but also the people you wouldn’t think would be interested. You never know who wants to order, but doesn’t have a contact yet. Follow the Ready, Set, SOAR! 7-Day Plan and make sure you start a Facebook VIP group; invite friends. Run discounts and specials in your group, such as giving away a Charm for the first order or a pack of Swarovski® Stardust Crystals for the friend who adds a friend that orders. Let your love of Origami Owl jewelry help you become a brand ambassador and advertiser of the company. Wear your Locket and tell people your story and memories. There is something inspiring in creating a Locket that represents your life, memories, love and even loss. You just need to help your Customers experience that feeling again. Give them the ability to recreate the memory to wear proudly and remind them of their special time or person.”

“One tip I can personally give would be to never pre-judge who you think will make a good Customer or team member. I signed a new Designer just yesterday and it was someone I waited to ask because I didn’t think it was ‘her thing.’ I’m looking forward to seeing just how high I can SOAR!”
